WELCOME TO HELLOLAND*

New for 2002 from mixed media specialists Talking Birds, HELLOLAND is a year-long project comprising 10 new artworks to celebrate Talking Birds' tenth year. This HELLOLAND website will be your ever-changing guide to the year and we hope you'll be visiting again and again...

On a special log-on date every month, changes will be made and new information will be posted for you to seek out. There will also be stuff about where to catch each of the 10 new works.


Talking Birds is a collective of artists engaged in the transformation of spaces, both real and imagined. In 2002, the company marks it's tenth anniversary of producing "stylish and compelling" [Independent On Sunday] work.

HELLOLAND* is the collective name for the bulk of Talking Birds' work for 2002. Throughout the year, we will be producing ten very different works - ranging through live performance, broadcasts, audiotours, video and the internet.

Let this website guide you through those works. There will be something new on the website every month - on the log-on date listed on the calendar. That something may be related to one of the ten works and may tell you where to find it - or it may be unrelated, but you'll only find out by logging on....
